Little Red Fox Cosplay is an accomplished seamstress and costumer from Mobile, AL and is our 2018 Hostess of both the Gump City Con Official Cosplay Contest and the Casual Halloween Costume Contest! Red grew up backstage at local ballets and theater companies and spent her childhood assisting in the creation and repair of all kinds of costumes and props. Her expertise in sewing and working with a wide variety of crafting materials, as well as her keen eye and attention to detail, keep her in demand as a cosplay competition judge. Known for innovative designs and use of materials, she is always looking for projects that will challenge both her skill level and her artistry. She believes that cosplay is about having fun and being whoever or whatever you want to be, and she always remembers to put the “play” in cosplay. Red is a member of the cosplay trio Salt Queens Cosplay, as well as the cosplay group Legends of Wonderland.
NellyNuttons is an Alabama based cosplayer who has been cosplaying since 2015. She is a lifelong fan of video games and geek culture, and has always enjoyed art and crafting. Cosplay was a perfect outlet to marry the two hobbies. Though she has not been doing cosplay very long, she has worn over 30 costumes and attends multiple conventions throughout the year. She is a member of the North Alabama Cosplay Club, and stays active in the cosplay community. She likes to cosplay from many fandoms, and especially enjoys cosplaying as humorous characters and making people laugh. From Overwatch's Mercy to her tantalizing genderbend of Loki.
Aaron is 26-years-old and a resident of Satellite Beach, Florida and has been cosplaying since 2009. When he's not cosplaying, he's restoring fossils or educating the public about dinosaurs. Some of his favorite series to cosplay from include Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Hunter x Hunter, Berserk, My Hero Academia, and of course his all time favorite, Bleach! He especially enjoys cosplaying characters with crazy hairstyles or ridiculous outfits and as such it has become a "signature" to his fantastic style! His goal with cosplay is to inspire people to challenge themselves, and above all, have fun!
Bryce is a native of south Florida and has been an active cosplayer for five years, but an avid anime/video game lover for 16 years. His inspiration in cosplaying is to bring the unrealistic illusion of the character to real life! He specializes in wig making and prop making - the more absurd the hairstyle the more likely he is to cosplay the character, just like Aaron! In his time away from cons, he is an active duty Captain in the United States Air Force which keeps him busy traveling all over the world serving our country and defending our freedoms!
She is an award winning costumer, builder and marketer based out of South Mississippi. Although Hashtag started cosplaying in 2017, she has dove head first into her craft and dedicated herself completely to honing her passion. Her specialties include EVA foam construction, genderbending, video game designs and crossovers. Foam fabrication was the medium that caught her attention in the cosplay community and is always a first love of hers with many of her costumes featuring heavy foam props or armor. When she is not perfecting her art, she is a Digital Marketing Manager that is passionate about helping small creators hone their cosplay brands.
A native of our home state of Alabama hailing from Mobile, Hijynx has been cosplaying since 2014, and her passion for cosplay quickly became more than just a hobby - now cosplay is a way of life, and she can't imagine not doing it! When she’s not cosplaying for cons, Hijynx volunteers with Causeplay Gulf Coast doing local charity events, along with the 405th and Alohamora Events as well. She recently has become an apprentice to the award winning Foamsmeef at the Foam Forge, a creative space located in Pensacola. An avid anime and video game fan, this reflects in her cosplays, along with her goofy personality. She has a great love of both sewing and foam prop making, but also has a passion for wig styling. Maybe she'll teach us all a thing or two about them!
